A cookie is a small file or stored value that helps a website remember information. Similar technologies, such as local browser storage, can do the same kind of job.
The current Slipwash website audit found necessary browser storage for the cart and cookie choice, Shopify checkout/order processing, and external font files. It did not find active analytics tools, advertising pixels, Hotjar, Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, or similar tracking scripts in the project.
Necessary / functional technologies
These are always active because the shop needs them to work. They help remember your cart, keep checkout functioning, protect the site, and store your cookie choice so the banner does not keep reappearing.
Cart storage
Browser storage named shopify-cart, used to keep your cart between pages.
Consent storage
Browser storage named slipwash-cookie-consent-v1, used to remember your choice.
Checkout
Shopify may use cookies and similar technologies when you open checkout or place an order.
Fonts
Google Fonts files are loaded to display the Slipwash typography; they are not used by Slipwash for ads or analytics.
Analytics
Analytics would help understand how visitors use the shop. Analytics is off by default and the current project does not load an analytics tool. If analytics is added later and consent is required, it must only load after you accept analytics cookies.
Marketing / advertising
Marketing technologies, such as advertising pixels or campaign measurement tags, are off by default. The current project does not load any advertising pixel. If these tools are added later, they must only load after you explicitly accept marketing cookies.
Relevant third parties
Shopify is used for e-commerce, cart, checkout, payments, and order processing. Payment and delivery providers may also process data where necessary to complete an order.
The website is hosted by a website hosting provider, and the current design loads font files from Google Fonts. These services may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details when your browser connects to them.

Change or withdraw your choice
You can accept all optional categories, reject non-essential categories, or manage each category. Rejecting optional cookies does not stop the shop from working normally.
